Three Goddesses Observe the Coming Change

Can a myth help us talk about our desire (and fear) of being part of the "change we wish to see in the world"?

Last week on KnotWork Storytelling, you heard Brian Walsh’s Coming of the Sons of Mil. I adored his version, and it inspired me to weave my own for a women’s Bealtaine retreat at which I was asked to lead a story circle.

And so, my retelling, which centers the perspective of the three Sovereignty Goddesses who gave Ireland its name - Banba, Fotla, and Ériu, was born.

Someday, this story will likely appear on the public podcast, but I wanted to share it with my close community of Myth Is Medicine subscribers.

As you’ll hear at the end of this episode, I am very much taken with the question of how we welcome in great cultural, collective change - even when we understand that change will not benefit us personally in the short term.

I would love to hear from you about what resonates with your preoccupations, your own passions, your own struggles.
