This really spoke to me in so many ways, Marissa. Self denial, and the determination not to be part of the problem, for a start. It has escalated beyond the power of individual action, but those who have the power to make a difference won't. So take your flight to your soul's homeland, you deserve it, and make your time with your son here wild and wonderful.

Love these words Marisa and your choice to feed your soul and your family's soul. We all have to find the balance and caring for ourselves is also caring for the planet. Buddhists would certainly agree on that. I don't think many Buddhists would agree though on his statement that actions don't matter as long as they were done with love. In the 5 Remembrances our actions are our only true belongings. Thich Nhat Hanh in particular was famous for ethical action. Have the most wonderful nourishing time Marisa 🙏🏻✨ You are feeding so many others by this wise action xxx

Oh, thank you for bringing our attention to the Buddhist element, Orla. I grabbed that quite because it included the part that really stuck with me, about the forbidden "love miles."

And thank you for you wise, kind blessing. The trip indeed felt blessed.

Safe travels, Marisa and kid! There is so much in this post that I relate to, and I feel happy that you'll be here in Ireland for a while, leaning softly into that desire and following its heed.

Oh thank you, Annette. We ended up in Sligo rather by accident, but then I had the moment of OF COURSE when all those signs about Yeats and the Land of Heart's Desire started appearing everywhere.
